About
After losing her mother, cheerful and selfless Tohru Honda quietly ends up living on her own in a tent rather than impose on anyone. When the land she's camping on turns out to belong to the reclusive Soma family, they take her in, and she stumbles onto the secret they've guarded for generations: several of the Somas are cursed to transform into animals of the Chinese zodiac whenever they're embraced by someone of the opposite sex. Welcomed into their strange household, Tohru begins to glimpse the loneliness and old wounds hidden behind the curse, and sets about mending them with little more than her stubborn, unshakable kindness.
