About
A curious goldfish escapes the ocean, is rescued by a five-year-old boy named Sosuke, and promptly falls in love with him and with life on land, naming herself Ponyo. Her longing to become human throws the natural world out of balance, summoning storms and rising seas, and only the bond between the two children can set things right. Loosely riffing on The Little Mermaid, it's a bright, exuberant fable about love, nature, and childlike wonder.
