About
When a deaf girl named Shoko transfers into his elementary school, Shoya leads the class in tormenting her, until the cruelty spirals so far that she leaves and the blame falls squarely on him. Overnight, the ringleader becomes the outcast, and Shoya spends his adolescence isolated and weighed down by shame, unable to meet anyone's eyes.
