About
Beneath the ordinary rhythms of modern Tokyo moves a hidden predator: ghouls, creatures who pass as human but survive by feeding on us. Into that world walks Ken Kaneki, a soft-spoken, bookish college student whose biggest worry is working up the nerve to talk to Rize — a fellow café regular who shares his love of books. Their meeting should be the start of something sweet; instead it becomes the night that upends everything he thought he was. What gives the show its grip isn't the gore, though there's plenty of it — it's the way it treats 'monster' as a question instead of an answer, following an ordinary kid caught between two worlds that each want a piece of him.
