Texhnolyze
Texhnolyze streams on Amazon Prime Video — the only legal home for Madhouse's bleakest, most uncompromising cyberpunk vision. This is not comfort viewing: it's a slow-burn descent into an underground city eating itself alive, and one of the most singular things the medium has ever produced. If Serial Experiments Lain rewired your brain, this is the next initiation.
About
Deep beneath the surface, the man-made city of Lux is rotting from the inside, carved up by factions fighting over what's left. Ichise, an orphaned prize fighter, is maimed after a fight gone wrong and left to die — until a scientist rebuilds him with experimental prosthetics called Texhnolyze. His new limbs pull him into the orbit of Oonishi, a leader in the organization holding Lux together, while a strange girl who sees the future watches his path from the shadows. What follows is a war story, a ghost story, and a meditation on what a city becomes when hope stops circulating.
