In the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident, the jujutsu world is thrown into a merciless new ordeal called the Culling Game, a deadly contest spread across sealed-off colonies where sorcerers must fight to accumulate points or die. Wracked with guilt over the carnage in Shibuya, Yuji Itadori steps away from Jujutsu High and joins forces with Choso to hunt down the cursed spirits set loose during the disaster. But the higher-ups have their own designs: they reinstate the death sentence hanging over Itadori and name the formidable Yuta Okkotsu as the one who'll carry it out. As newly awakened sorcerers and revived figures from the distant past enter the game with clashing agendas, the balance of power tips once more, dragging the world toward an age ruled by curses.
