About
Denji has nothing: no money, no future, just a crushing debt inherited from his dead father and a pint-sized Chainsaw Devil named Pochita riding shotgun. To stay alive, the two scrape by at the absolute bottom of society, hunting and selling devil carcasses for pocket change. When a betrayal leaves Denji at death's door, his bond with Pochita becomes his lifeline — a contract fuses boy and devil, and he tears his way back as Chainsaw Man, a half-human, half-devil hybrid with chainsaws erupting from his body. What makes the series sing is how it turns that bleak setup into pitch-black comedy and raw feeling at once; Denji's wants are almost heartbreakingly simple, which only makes the savage world around him land harder.
