Ichigo Kurosaki passes for a typical high-schooler, aside from one thing he's never been able to switch off: he sees the dead. That gift stays a private nuisance until the night a soul reaper named Rukia Kuchiki turns up in his room, hunting a Hollow, a ravenous and warped creature that feeds on the souls of the living and the dead.
