Claymore
Claymore packs its entire grim medieval hunt into a finished 26-episode TV series from 2007. Crunchyroll and Hulu carry the show in both subtitled and dubbed form. Its appeal lies in the tension behind every battle: the silver-eyed warriors protecting humanity draw on the same monstrous power they are sent to destroy, so victory always carries a personal risk. Expect horror imagery and forceful action within a serious fantasy story that gives its fighters more emotional weight than their enormous swords might suggest. It is a strong pick for viewers who enjoy bleak stakes and monster hunting without committing to a long series.
About
Human settlements live in fear of flesh-eating creatures that can hide among ordinary people. The only reliable hunters are women altered with some of the creatures' own power, recognizable by their silver eyes and massive blades. One quiet warrior travels from place to place taking contracts against these hidden threats while carrying a private reason for continuing the fight. Each encounter tests her strength, but using too much of it could erase the boundary between hunter and prey. Claymore builds suspicion into its violent confrontations while keeping sight of the fragile humanity in fighters whom civilians need but rarely welcome.
