About
After a demon's curse marks his arm, the young Emishi prince Ashitaka travels west seeking a cure and walks straight into a war. On one side stands Irontown, a frontier settlement stripping the mountains for ore; on the other, the animal gods of the forest and San, a human girl raised by wolves who despises humankind. Ashitaka refuses to pick a side, searching instead for a way people and nature might live without destroying each other, in a story with no clean villains and no easy answers.
