About
The Republic of San Magnolia assures its citizens that machines are fighting a neighboring Empire, supposedly keeping people out of danger. Listening to them exposes the human cost concealed by the Republic's official story, while the unit must survive orders issued by a society that considers its lives expendable. 86 Eighty-Six follows both sides of that divide, pairing science fiction combat with a character-focused account of prejudice, duty and the effort to preserve dignity.
