On the brink of conquering the world of Ente Isla, the Devil King Satan is driven back by the hero Emilia and forced to flee through a portal — landing in present-day Tokyo, stripped of nearly all his magic. Now going by Sadao Maou, the former dark lord discovers that taking over a world without powers means starting at the bottom: a part-time shift at a fast-food joint, a cramped apartment, and a genuine work ethic about climbing to shift manager. When Emilia turns up leading an equally ordinary life nearby, their epic rivalry keeps colliding with rent, coworkers, and the daily grind. It's a warm, sharp comedy about villainy meeting the real world.
