Steamboy
Steamboy tells its entire mechanical adventure in a single feature, so there is no series commitment before the story gets moving. Tubi carries the movie free with ads. Released in 2004 and now finished, this original production from Sunrise and Studio 4°c runs for 126 minutes. Its science fiction is grounded in metal, pressure and enormous machines, giving the action a tangible sense of weight. The central struggle over a remarkable invention also brings family loyalties and competing ideas about technological power into the drama. It is well suited to viewers who enjoy elaborate machinery, sustained action and a self contained adventure with serious questions behind the spectacle.
About
A young inventor in industrializing England receives an unusual metal sphere from his grandfather. The object stores steam at a level far beyond ordinary machinery, which makes it valuable to people with very different plans for its use. When a powerful organization pursues the device, the boy is pulled into a conflict shaped by family disagreement, ambitious engineering and the threat of a weapon built on the same discovery. Chases and increasingly vast contraptions drive the adventure forward, while the drama centers on whom the inventor can trust and whether technological achievement excuses its consequences. The premise grows into a complete Action, Adventure, Drama and Sci Fi story without requiring any background from another title.
