Run with the Wind
Run with the Wind streams on Crunchyroll and Netflix, and it's one of the most quietly moving sports dramas anime has produced. It follows a house of college students, most of them non-runners, roped into chasing one of Japan's most grueling relay races. Beautifully animated by Production I.G and full of heart, it's a must-watch even if you've never cared about track.
About
Kakeru is a gifted runner adrift after a falling-out with the sport, when a chance encounter pulls him into a shabby student dormitory run by an upperclassman named Haiji. Haiji has a secret and an outrageous ambition: he wants the dorm's residents to qualify for the Hakone Ekiden, a legendary long-distance relay. The catch is that almost none of them can run, and none of them signed up for this. What follows is a slow, stubborn, deeply human climb toward a goal that seems impossible from the starting line.
