About
Gene Starwind runs a small-time odd-jobs outfit on a backwater planet with his boy-genius partner Jim Hawking, dreaming bigger than his bank account allows. Then a bodyguard gig goes spectacularly sideways, and Gene inherits three problems: a bio-android girl named Melfina, the advanced prototype ship she's keyed to — the Outlaw Star — and every pirate clan in the sector wanting both. The crew that assembles around him hunts the Galactic Leyline, a legend that promises everything, while dodging bounty hunters, assassins, and the show's gloriously pulpy rogues' gallery. It's episodic adventure with a real destination, and the ride is the point.
