Carole & Tuesday
Carole & Tuesday streams on Netflix. From the director of Cowboy Bebop comes a music series about two girls writing songs by hand on a Mars where AI composes everything — and every original song in it is genuinely, unreasonably good.
About
Decades after humanity settled Mars, culture has been quietly outsourced: AI writes the hits, calculates the hooks, and the charts obey. Carole is an orphaned keyboardist working dead-end jobs in the big city; Tuesday is a runaway heiress with an acoustic guitar and no street sense whatsoever. One chance meeting, one impromptu jam, and the two decide to do the impossibly quaint thing — write songs themselves, by hand, together. From open-mic humiliations through a talent-show gauntlet and an industry that treats human-made music as a novelty act, the show builds toward the 'miraculous seven minutes' its narrator keeps promising, with a warmth that never curdles into cynicism.
