Seishuu Handa is a rising star of calligraphy until a veteran calls his award-winning work 'textbook' — and Handa punches him. His father's sentence: exile to a remote island to cool off and figure out who he is without the validation. The island has other ideas about solitude. Naru, a six-year-old force of nature, treats his house as her playground; teenagers commandeer his living room; neighbors arrive with vegetables and opinions.
