Satou hasn't held a job or really left his apartment in years. He's convinced his hikikomori life isn't his fault — it's the work of a shadowy broadcasting conspiracy dedicated to manufacturing recluses like him. Then Misaki appears at his door: a strange girl with a clipboard, a self-designed rehabilitation program, and an unsettling eagerness to fix a man she's never met. Between his otaku neighbor roping him into making a questionable game, a high-school crush resurfacing with problems of her own, and Misaki's nightly counseling sessions in the park, Satou keeps getting dragged toward the one thing he fears most: the outside world.
