With Anya safely enrolled at the elite Eden Academy, master spy Loid Forger turns to phase two of his mission: getting close to reclusive politician Donovan Desmond, which means Anya either befriends his son Damian or racks up the coveted Stella Stars of a top student. To celebrate her first star, Loid agrees to grant her dearest wish, a dog. The pet hunt goes sideways fast when a plot to assassinate a Westalis minister using bomb-carrying hounds lands in Loid's lap, and Anya, in typical fashion, wanders straight into the middle of it. She comes home with a fluffy, secret-keeping new friend, and the Forgers add one more member to a household where nobody is quite who they claim to be.
