About
Madoka Kaname is an ordinary, kind-hearted middle schooler whose biggest problems should be homework and friendships. Then a strange dream starts bleeding into reality: a devastated city, a lone girl fighting something enormous, and a small cat-like creature offering a way to change the outcome. That creature, Kyubey, soon appears in Madoka's waking life with an offer — any wish granted, in exchange for becoming a magical girl and fighting witches. Her new upperclassman Homura Akemi seems determined to stop her from accepting, and the deeper Madoka looks into what magical girls actually endure, the clearer it becomes that the fine print on Kyubey's contract is written in places no one thinks to look.
