About
Misaki Ayuzawa leads the student council at Seika High, a school that only recently began admitting girls. She has earned a formidable reputation by pushing back against behavior that makes the new female students uncomfortable. Her private circumstances look very different. To help her family financially, she works at a maid café and keeps the job hidden from everyone at school. Takumi Usui happens to see her there, putting the secret she has guarded in the hands of a boy she cannot easily read. He does not expose her, but his continued presence leaves Misaki balancing her public responsibilities with a side of her life she would rather keep separate. Their tense arrangement gradually becomes a romance, with school disputes and café mishaps keeping the mood lively without giving away where the relationship lands.
