On the planet Prester, the sky is a working frontier crossed by vanships — nimble retro-futurist flyers crewed by pilot and navigator. Claus and Lavie, a young courier duo with more guts than money, dream of one day crossing the Grand Stream, the killer storm corridor that separates their world's two warring nations.
