JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 3: Stardust Crusaders

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders

7.9TV · 24 eps · 2014

Stardust Crusaders marks JoJo's switch from Ripple combat to Stand battles, with this 24-episode season covering the opening stretch of Jotaro Kujo's journey. Legal viewing options include Crunchyroll and Netflix, while Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and Tubi provide additional choices. This finished 2014 TV series suits viewers who enjoy fights built around discovering an opponent's strange ability and finding a way around its rules. Its road-trip structure brings frequent new enemies and gives many episodes a self-contained problem, while the pursuit of the Joestar family's old foe keeps the larger story moving. Start with Parts 1 and 2 if possible, since they supply the family history behind the conflict. If you already liked those parts, the new combat system and rotating Stand matchups make this a rewarding next step.

About

Jotaro Kujo believes the powerful figure appearing beside him may be something dangerous. He soon learns that it is a Stand, a supernatural manifestation that other people around the world have begun to wield. The awakening is connected to an enemy from the Joestar family's past, and the consequences reach Jotaro's own home. Jotaro leaves with his grandfather Joseph and several Stand users, heading toward Egypt in search of the source. Progress comes through confrontations with hostile Stand wielders whose powers cannot be beaten by strength alone. Each encounter forces the group to identify an unfamiliar rule or trap before continuing the journey.
