About
Tomona is a young biwa player blinded by a cursed relic dredged from the sea; Inu-Oh is a dancer born so strange his family hides him behind a mask. When they find each other, something combusts: Tomona's songs and Inu-Oh's impossible dancing tell the stories of the war dead that official history wants forgotten — and every performance that moves the crowd lifts another piece of Inu-Oh's curse. Yuasa stages their rise as full-blown arena rock, anachronistic and electrifying, then lets history's gatekeepers close in. It's a film about who gets to tell stories, told at maximum volume.
