About
A power-hungry lord trades his unborn son's body to a legion of demons, and the child enters the world without limbs, eyes, ears, or skin — kept alive only by a healer's kindness and fitted with prosthetics hiding blades. Years later that child, Hyakkimaru, walks the war-torn countryside cutting down demons; with each one slain, a piece of his true body returns. At his side is Dororo, a scrappy orphan thief whose warmth slowly cracks open a boy learning sensation, sound, and pain for the first time. It's gorgeous, mournful, and quietly furious about what war does to the smallest people caught in it.
