Delicious in Dungeon streams on Netflix, and it's a fantasy adventure with a deliciously original hook: a party of dungeon-crawlers who cook and eat the monsters they fight. After a dragon swallows one of their own, broke and out of supplies, they plunge back into the labyrinth determined to save her, surviving on meals made from slimes, giant scorpions, and whatever else tries to kill them. It's funny, gorgeously animated by Studio Trigger, and sneaks genuinely rich world-building in between the recipes. A total delight.
About
When Laios and his adventuring party are routed by a dragon in the depths of a labyrinth, they escape with their lives but lose their gear, their gold, and one of their companions, swallowed whole. Determined to descend again and rescue her before it's too late, they run into an awkward problem: with no money and no provisions, they'll never survive the trek down. Laios has a solution nobody else is thrilled about, cook and eat the monsters along the way. And so the group presses deeper into the dungeon, turning slimes, giant scorpions, and everything else that lunges at them into their next meal.
