About
Clevatess, lord of the Dark Beasts, has intellect and destructive power to spare — and thirteen so-called heroes just made the mistake of picking a fight. His retaliation should have been the end of the story. Instead, the aftermath leaves him with two burdens he never wanted: a slain hero he chose to revive, and an orphaned human infant who may be the last hope of a world tipping toward ruin. A being built to end humanity now has to keep its most fragile member alive. The premise sounds like a gag; the show treats it as the opening move of a genuinely epic, often brutal fantasy about what raising something changes in the one doing the raising.
