I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class
I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class turns a classroom beauty ranking into the starting point for a romantic comedy about getting to know someone personally. Watch it on Crunchyroll. The 2026 TV anime has finished its 12-episode run, with CONNECT adapting the light novel into episodes lasting 24 minutes. If the friendship part of the title caught your attention, that is the reason to give it a try: the premise puts a personal connection beside a reputation built on appearances. It suits viewers who want a school romance with friendship as the starting point.
About
A student befriends a classmate whom others regard as the second prettiest girl in their class. Spending time together gives them a relationship beyond that classroom ranking, one rooted in their everyday lives. The possibility of romance lies in what they come to mean to each other as friends. Getting close to someone carries a different kind of weight from admiring them at a distance, and that distinction gives this friendship its romantic potential.
