Bubble
Bubble fits its entire gravity-bent Tokyo story into one 100-minute ONA, so it asks for a movie night rather than a season-long commitment. Netflix carries it. The film is best approached as a supernatural romance built around movement: parkour races turn flooded rooftops and broken structures into obstacle courses, while the mystery of the bubbles draws two young people together. Its imagery and momentum do much of the work, and viewers who enjoy expressive action may get more from it than those seeking a dense plot. About
After bubbles fall over Tokyo and disrupt gravity, the sealed, partly flooded city becomes home to young parkour competitors. One gifted but withdrawn runner is drawn toward the source of the anomaly by a song only he seems to hear. A dangerous attempt to reach it ends with his rescue by a strange girl connected to the bubbles. As she learns about people and joins him among the ruins, their growing attachment begins to echo a familiar fairy tale. The premise stays spoiler-lightest when left there; much of the appeal comes from watching the pair cross an environment where ordinary rules of weight and motion no longer apply.
