About
Tokyo has been sealed off since the day bubbles rained from the sky and broke gravity itself — the city now a half-flooded playground where orphaned teens run parkour battles across drowned skyscrapers. Hibiki is the best of them, a loner drawn to the tower at the anomaly's heart, where he hears a song nobody else can. When a fall nearly kills him, he's saved by Uta — a girl who emerged from the bubbles themselves, curious and wordless and impossibly agile. Their bond replays an old fairy tale with the ending signposted from the start; the film's pleasures are its motion, its music, and its sheer visual abundance.
