# Where to Watch Bleach

**You can stream Bleach on Disney Plus and Hulu, and the original series is the ideal doorway into one of shonen's defining supernatural epics. This is the show that made a scowling, orange-haired teenager with an oversized sword into an icon, and across 366 episodes it grows from a monster-of-the-week ghost story into a sprawling war between soul reapers, Hollows, and every faction caught in between. If you want a long-haul classic that pays back the commitment, start here.**

## Where to Watch

- [Hulu](https://www.hulu.com/series/562ee9eb-adb5-43ab-b974-52ddfebee9c8)
- [Hulu](http://www.hulu.com/bleach)

Both Disney Plus and Hulu list the series, so the simplest move is to go with whichever service you're already paying for; you're watching the same episodes either way. Given how much anime this is to get through, it's worth landing on the subscription you actually keep month to month rather than one you'll cancel halfway in.

## Synopsis

Ichigo Kurosaki passes for a typical high-schooler, aside from one thing he's never been able to switch off: he sees the dead. That gift stays a private nuisance until the night a soul reaper named Rukia Kuchiki turns up in his room, hunting a Hollow, a ravenous and warped creature that feeds on the souls of the living and the dead. The fight goes sideways, Rukia is badly wounded, and in a split-second gamble she funnels her own powers into Ichigo to save them both. Now he's a substitute soul reaper whether he likes it or not, sworn to guard his town from the Hollows that keep tearing through, and pulled step by step into a hidden world of spirits far bigger than he ever imagined.

- **[Jujutsu Kaisen](https://hozuna.com/anime/jujutsu-kaisen)** — If Bleach hooked you with soul reapers policing hungry spirits, Jujutsu Kaisen is its spiritual heir: sorcerers exorcising monstrous Curses, only with slicker animation and a nastier edge. It runs on the same 'ordinary teen suddenly inherits a dangerous power' spark, rebuilt for a new generation.
- **[Demon Slayer](https://hozuna.com/anime/demon-slayer)** — Another kid handed a sword and a duty to cut down man-eating monsters. Demon Slayer swaps Bleach's urban ghost-hunting for a period demon hunt, but the swordwork, the escalating one-on-one duels, and the emotional gut-punches will feel like home.
- **[Naruto](https://hozuna.com/anime/naruto)** — Bleach was one of shonen's 'Big Three,' and Naruto is its sibling: a long, character-packed journey of a stubborn outcast clawing his way toward power and recognition. If you loved living inside Bleach's world week after week, this one is built the exact same way.
